SOS System overide software??
i have bought this system overide software and the masking software, but ny question is:- how do i use/deploy the software to capture ships? any help would greatly be received, cheers,

It is much more helpful in big ships since the range it works at increases. It's certainly far from essential but at half a million credits I thought it was well worth it, I've also got the claiming software script, which costs 6million and allows you to claim from 5km away.
If you've got loads of credits 600k isn't much to be able to claim a ship without having to stop your ship, get out and then get back in (with practice you can claim ships without ever dropping below 100m/s in an m5, that makes it much easier to claim lots of ships)

Must admit I have never bothered with it - it is nice to feel the solar wind in your hair once in a while!! I thought 500K just to avoid pressing shift+E was a bit much. 5K, maybe! I usually pacify a sector quite thoroughly before I decide to go claim the blue ships...Thanks for the advise. Sure it will pay for its self in the long run.

Getting into your suit to claim a ship is the biggest bit of insanity in the game.
I went for sos mk2 (script) which claims at 5kms, as soon as I could afford one and never looked back. Now with the beamdock script, I can claim and dock a ship in seconds. And no fiddling around in your spacesuit where one false move and your dead.
