If we ever get a X-Online game, I'm quite sure it won't be X3 savegame compatable so you will be back at square one, just like everyone else

X-Online ? Not good for sure. X is an absolute offline, individual playing universe, with forum support; to implement some MMO game characteristics will generate major changes that will make the new product even more hated than X3.

my mate put this MMORG v Single player game into perspective the other day. he used to play World of Warcraft and now plays Oblivion, and his reason was simple (and I quote)

"When I play a game, I want to be the hero"

Actually that'd be wierd... you'd be flying in your TS and suddenly your attacked by someone like bolmy (I trained him well)
and then you script up an M1 to destroy him...
then he scripts an M2 up and then a script war starts...
not that i'd take bolmy on or any thing....

if you want to play an MMO in space then just join EVE online
it's very different from X
most evenings it's hard to choose which to play
while I enjoy trading and combat in single player
EVE is an MMO which runs almost 4 years now
in that time it has reached a very high standard
I dare to say it's the BEST MMO out there
if there's going to be an X MMO I hope they'll use EVE as an example

I tend not to script stuff in so much now...finished testing all the ships in TGM...but yeah...I think I'd pretty much definitely be a combat orientated guy in X-online...I love combat.

Personally, I think we get to ride llamas in X-Online instead of spaceships and the weapons will be super soakers and firecrackers.

So your fleet is gunna get soaked! (And wet llamas are far more effective than water soaked computers)

May I ask just WHAT XO holds for you? You want to join and get killed by a guy in an M2 JUST BECAUSE THEY CAN? Or have your first ever XO factory blown to bits because another player with 50 factorys wants to stamp out compotition?
