Does the lottery work?

Do any of you know if the lottery system in X2 work? If it work, how long to it usually take to get the result.

Well, with the amount of numbers in the lottery, it looks like the odds of getting hit by lightning on a clear day are better than winning the lottery.

At least there is some strings for telling a player he has won... Or at least I think so... Memory is a bit clouded atm. :P

No, I haven't won.

But if you look at your stats, you'll see near the bottom:

Lottery Tickets Bought: X amount
Lottery Jackpots Won: X amount (0 for me...)

the more you gamble the more your gambling rank increases, and you can get jobs from bbs ive seen heaps...so its not a waste of money totaly.

I've seen some posts from people that have won, I'm not one of them though. My understanding is that the odds are far lower that you will win in X2 than of you winning a lottery in real life. I don't play often since I don't personally dock at AI stations very often anymore but I do play occasionally, the amount to buy a ticket is nothing and the possible payoff no matter how bad the odds its very very high.

there is a very real possibility that those people who have said they have won have cheated and are seeking to explain with a plausable reason why they have to much money on 6 hours of gameplay...

I won't believe anyone who says they have won until they post a screenshot.
