Could someone tell me how to get the System override to work

Well the subject says it all i got the System override software thinking it will help me capture ships , Well i dnt know how it works plzzzzz if some one does know plz do tell

it doesn't make a difference to capturing ships, its used to claim them without havign the leave your cockpit.

but the process remains the same.
