X2 -Spacefly Factory, old news?

Is it old news? Its the first time Ive discovered anything new with X2 in years of playing, and it was right under my nose as soon as i started building in family Tkr.

As with secret gates, follow the ships going off outside scanner range and eventually, predictably, behind a large asteroid are 2 fabs which both scan as "Masson Mill Alpha"

Dock there and the product is spaceflies. The fabs themselves stock E Cell, Rastar, Spacefly Eggs, Nvidium & Nostrup.

Old news. It's a little Easter egg that one of the Bonus Pack coders included in the game.

It was a secret, experimental spacefly hatchery system run by the Split govt. It was eventually destroyed by a Boron covert ops mission after being discovered by a shadowy group of Boron spacefly activists, the Boron for the Ethical Treatment of Spaceflies, BETS for short. Which is why you can no longer find it in X3.
