Does the Avarice auction restart ?

I play 2.0.02 version. Of course I have missed the first auction - well, not exactly, just did't have enough cash.
Now, all I get at the stations is a message that the sector has been sold to Burnit!.
Will the auction restart before I die of old age ? I am at day 40 or so now, and the auction has ended quite a time ago...

nope you cant steal sector by scripts either i tried dont see it worth it when next game burnit or yourself will sell it(ie forced sold) in next exp or game

It was said by someone else on an Avarice thread that there was one more chance to buy. If you missed the first time then you had to wait and would get offered a on-time chance to buy at a fixed price.

There was a chance IF player had failed to buy the sector before 2.0 update.

As Paranids say, "there is no second chance" for those who started with 2.0.02.

Thanks for the info. I thought that that was just to fix a bug with the sector purchase between 2.0/2.02 but I suspect you have a better grasp of things than me! I guess I better make my mind up whether I want to start saving, then. I've never bothered before.

The 2.0 rewrote the "Avarice mission". However, the new version had a bug too (unrelated to the "second chance" bit, which was for those who did update-and-continue rather than restart), and 2.0.02 fixed that bug of 2.0/2.0.01.
