Where the <blonk> is AEGIS in X3?

I remembered back in the day when I used AEGIS to great effect in X2, and wondered where the X3 version of this great turret command script is.

xone's turret command script is here, of course, but it isnt AEGIS, well not yet.

So where is X3's AEGIS? Or am I going to have to use xone's script instead and hope for the best?

i am sure one of the more knowledgeable guys here will correct me if i am wrong, but i believe you can sue the X2 script with X3. Not all that many changes were made so most X2 scripts should still work fine with X3. Well thats what I have found in the past anyway.

There are some personal changes of AEGIS, but as there's a bunch of new lasers, you can't just use the X2-Script. You have to modify it, and the original authors didn't want to do so (as I surely don't want with the FCS MK3 when X4 is been released).

I dont understand it. Isnt AEGIS now built-in into X3? Why is it so hard to just use that?

so essentially, AEGIS in X3 is no longer AEGIS then?

Then why is there mention of some sort of AEGIS in the wares list, and from what I can tell from AI capships, they perform AEGIS-like.
