Concussion Impulse Generator where can i find it?

hi all,

i can't seem to find where i can buy the Concussion Impulse Generator. i've got my eclipse and i want to arm it. any ideas as to where to find it? i've searched the x3 database site, i've also looked a bit around on here to see if anybody has asked the same question as i have.

I don't think you can buy them in the Vanilla game but you can find them

You can't buy it. You can steal one (ie, get it on a captured ship) or salvage one from a destroyed ship...

...or you can find a couple just laying around.

Got most of mine out of the holds of assassination mission TLs. Estimate about 1/3 of them carry CIGs which I teleport out, along with anything else that's not installed (using the Cartel Shield Hacker) before finishing off the target with one of his own Hornets.

I'm not sure I've ever seen one drop, although I've definately seen pirate ships carrying CIGs.
