anybody got screen shots with working links
i plan on building one with the ship creator
just a question or two about it
1: what is it called?
2:are lasertower weapons any good?

2) Debends on the purpose it's used.
Not sure if these stats are correct...
Range 6.634 km
Damage / round Hull 2700
Damage / round Shield 1890
Speed 2661 m/s
Rate 0.42 rounds/s
Turret speed 0.187
So shield damage is about Alpha HEPT level and hull damage is APPC/BFAA level. BKYON is better execpt the range ofcourse.

im going to have to modify shield, hull, cargo bay
ive got more to do on it than i originally thought
ive seen the wrekage in xenon 101 so i could use that for size
but still i need a bigger screen shot for texture

Xenon M0, if based on the original one would be longer than the shipyards (in a way it was a mobile shipyard or something like that)

Nope in XBTF the xenon capships did ludicrous speeds, i had my X-Shuttle going faster than any m5 and i still couldnt keep up ....

maybe but the clear the xenon sector type missions toward the end of xbtf were hilarious for trying to catch the things

ive got the basic structure done, turrets done, hanger bay for 300 fighters done, texture NOT DONE, rotating parts in the middle done

The real problem is usually that the things end up way too big.
You can not effectively cover that many square km of hull with the very limited amount of turret sections and turret lasers that X3 supports.
If you have to spread one turret section over 4km, what good is an anti-fighter laser with maybe 1.5 km range...?
Using the LT weapon as anti-fighter has merits although they are terribly weak in small numbers.
And then you don't only have to create the ship but also mod/script a way to actually acquire these lasers in game.

If you want to get even closer, i suggest you import the ship into your 3d- application.
(In fact , I did it that way so i could redo the thing section by section).
Size will definitely become a problem.
I'd suggest you import a gate as well so you can make sure it fits through the gate. ( At least that size stuff had been a real nightmare to me).
