Help! Bad Debt, pirate base, system override software for sale @ 607,611
I bought it, but there do not seem to be any controls for it.
Seems to be a useless bit of kit, with no means of using it.
HELP!!!

It is used to claim ships without leaving the safety of your cockpit. Wait for a pilot to bail (ship goes blue), get to within 35m of it and then press i. One of the options will be claim. Normally you need to get out of the ship to do this. Oh - and the software is illegal. Get scanned just about anywhere and you will get into trouble ulness you ditch it. The only solution is to trawl pirate bases for a BBS message abotu scrambler software. Buy this (and wince at the price IIRC) and you will be safe from the law.

with sos you can claim an abandoned ship,without space walking.
Get within 35m of that ship,target it and press *I*,at the bottom of your
screen,select *claim*.

Out of interest.

If you have a ship that can dock other ships, say a Hyperion, then load your SOS onto the docked ship and only transfer it back when you need to claim a ship.

That way when you get scanned it won`t show up.

You can do that, or simply buy the Signature Software Scrambler thing from Pirate BBS boards, which masks the SOS from police scans.
