Omicron Lyrae mission

OK....I parked my Osprey, against my better judgement and took the Disco down to the mother ship and got in position. I'm close enought to kiss her. No cut scene. Getting all banged up...smacking into the mother ship. What's the prob? Thought the cutscene started when you got close....????????????Help.

Get closer. I had to be within about 15m of the nav beacon, and furthermore, both Bret and Saya have to be in position as well.

Get closer to the Nav Beacon, not to the ship. The nav beacon is not inside the M0 so you can easily get close to it without hitting anything, so long as you avoid the rotating sections of the ship.

Our friend Ban Dana should tell you and after a little cut scene your ship will target it by default. Alternatively scroll through the sector menu and it should be in there.
If, however, you are there way before your two other friends you will have to wait till they arrive.

AAAaaauuuggghhhh!!!!!! I'm dyin' over here...... Why don't they just make this game easy, like stupid Duke Nuke 'em or something....?
I guess that's what makes it appealing......or something.....

Well..there is no nav beacon on my scanner or on my navigation menu.....I'm going to give another couple of tries then f**k it. Unless anyone can give me SPECIFIC instructions on how to defeat this shi**y mission. Geez...I can't keep from whining.>.....

The yellow thingy on your scanner is the Nav beacon...it's very, very close to the M0....you may need to reload a few times before getting it right ;)

you have to fly into the nav beacon.

Have a look for your mates saya and the other guy, and then you'll have an idea of what you need to do. you will need the M5 if you are in an M6 since it doesn't fit.

OK, got thru the nav beacon part...now I have to kill a target on the "ball". How the <MN&%^% do I do that...with my itty bitty M5?....got ganked trying.....

Er...why not get back in your Osprey and do it? I did the bits of that mission requiring firepower in my Centaur, then jumped back into the M5 to do the next section (which requires hitting that nav beacon again, you'll be pleased to hear).
