You could just manually delete the turbo booster files

Just to expand on Cycrow's correct-but-terse answer, you do not have to uninstall the TC Bonus Pack. However, you *do* have to manually delete one file from your scripts folder:

setup.plugin.turbo.pck

It does not matter when you delete it. It is OK to delete the file either before or after installing the new version of the Turbo Booster.

After deleting the old setup file (and installing the new version, of course), the new version of the Turbo Booster should work correctly.

Note that the new version adds a Community Configuration menu item. You will need a hotkey for the Community Configuration Menu, and you must be undocked to use it.

u might need to delete one of the plugin.turbo pck files as well
as at least one of those is changed.

otherwise it wont use the settings from the menu

The 1.10 package overwrites all of the old .pcks, except for setup.plugin.turbo.pck. That is the only file left over when installing Turbo Booster 1.10.

You could probably update the .spk in less time than it takes to read and reply to these messages. :)

Just add setup.plugin.turbo.pck to the .spk.

Hi, could someone check this bug in their game to see if it's just me or a script issue?

Engage turbo booster (my settings are energy cells disabled all other settings default) and when it says Turbo disengaged, requires cooldown RE ENGAGE turbo. For me it resets the counter to 100%.

In other words- infinite boost, just repeat every time it says cooldown. All other features work properly.

Cute trick, but does not work for me. Which version of the Turbo Booster are you using? Which game?

I am using the version in this thread (v 1.10) with TC.

AP 1.1//Bonus Pack. XRM installed fwiw.

You have to be on the money, 2.1.re engage. 3 or 4 seconds off doesn't cut it.

OIC. Your video is different than your description. In your video, you press the hotkey at the 15% recharge point.

If you look at the code, you can see that the Turbo Charger is completely disabled until it recharges to 15%. This looks like the 1.10 version, by the way, or maybe an interim version?

Still, I cannot reproduce your results. I wonder if it has something to do with the way you have it configured (in the Community Configuration Menu)?

no. that was just an example. it works at any time, starting from 100 or 57 or 15 whatever. i've tried it with multiple configurations and it works under any setting (except spacefly which I did not test)

I can confirm that this works - I was just coming to post this exploit myself.

I'll try to explain it better:
When you use the Turbo boost, it counts down from 100% to 0%. Once it hits 0%, it automatically cuts out and you can't boost again until it hits 15%.

But if you hit boost immediately after it hits 0%, it jumps straight to 100% and lets you boost again, without waiting. This means with the right timing, you can keep on boosting over and over again until you run out of energy.

Would it be possible to make it possible for AI controlled ships to use this script? I am refering to player enemies of course. :)

I have the exact same problem, the only difference i use XRM, and originally had the bonus pack installed then i removed it all because they are mostly antiquated.

solution for ap (thx to d_ka):

install it with the bonus package for ap (you can select only turbo booster to install).
