Cant find mobile drilling system in X3TC

I'm frenquatly checking teladi equipment docks for drilling system but there are none, anyone know where can i find a mobile drilling system factory?

I think I bought mine at Terracorp HQ.
There is some question as to how they work though. Whilst some people (eg ncc386) are merrily mobile mining whilst they pilot the ship, nobody has reported that they can successfully remote / automated mine as they were able to in X3R.

thanks:), i read somewhere that its about ship type, only 3 or so TSs are qualified for mining, split caiman is one of them i guess, havent tried thou, gonna try this evening..

I saw them for sale either at an equipment dock or a factory in Argon Prime, Herons Nebula, or the sector just west of Heron's Nebula. I'm pretty sure it was a factory, and it wasn't hard to find.

As a general tip for finding equipment if you bring up the Encyclopedia and find for the appropriate item at the bottom of the description it will tell you the location of all fabs and docks that potentially carry that ware, so long as you have passed them in sensor range. If there's no entry then you haven't yet been close enough in sector to any of the sources.

A decent satellite network will tell if the specifc bases have any in stock.
