They dont seem to be available anywhere...not even listed as out of stock like those damn pods

Your space suit is the only place where you can find the repair laser.

shift+e and right click... that's the only repair laser in the whole universe (and can't be transfered)

By the way, while you're outside your ship, go and dock only in your space suit at the closest equipment dock. You will be able to buy engine upgrades for it to run faster than default.

only bad thing is if you want them to stay on you have to never ever board a ship again, as when you enter a ship your old suit is "destroyed" and when you leave again a new suit is "spawned" back with default gear.

A way to fix that would be to make the space suit a ship of it's own that "docks" with your ship Much like when you take over control of the carrier after docking your fighter inside it.

Although the side effect to this would be every ship in the game would have a Landed ships(1) in the target menu.

Uhm, they could modify the spawning script a bit. Make it save the suit you were in when you enter a ship and load it when you eject instead of spawning a brand new (and blank) one.

It would be nice to be able to have SETA on your suit, boost extension would be nice too. And trade system extension.... And mobile drilling system... (okay, that would be a bit too much).

You get the idea though.

Why do ships mention the repair laser in thier descriptions then?

I think they ran out of individual weapon compatibility slots, so they stuck the repair gun, mining laser, and tractor beam in the same slot.

it would be nice to fly in a bunch of fully trained Engineer/Marines
and just release them to work on the ship, while it's in space..

- it would be a laugh just watching them collide with one another, if nothing else..!! :D
- the whole universe is running in BETA mode - we're working on it.. beep..!! :D :thumb_up:

Mh ... that would be nice if marines in space would actually do something.... other than trying to escape my grubby paws to the nearest station the moment they are free that is lol.
