slaves to mercs

can you turn slaves into mercs or if so then how do you do it

You can't. As a role play element, you can sell them as slaves and then buy mercs and consider that a conversion. ;)

damn i really wanted these prigs as cannon fodder. they killed one of my transports.
i converted them to slaves at a pirate base
