energy bolt chaingun ammo- where to sell?

My single ammo factory churns out this stuff by the mega-gross and I can't find anywhere to sell it. Anyone found anywhere?

I have one for my own use - It's in greater profit and it shows as there's a station within 2 sectors willing to buy so try around there..

Not sure about this as I havent done myself it but I think that any Equipment Dock buys an infinite amount of weapons and ammo it doesnt normally stock (weirdly). Also, Terracorp HQ may buy it?

Not the ammo I'm afraid - ammo counts as a 'tech' good so they'd have to have it listed to buy it

Cool. Thanks. I'll give that a try as I have 6000 units spare and I've been forced to leave the factory choking on its stock.

That place 2 sectors away would be Ceo's Sprite Military Outpost. Other Teladi M.O.s are in Eighteen Billion and Merchant Haven, off the top of my head... and Strong Arms HQ may buy the stuff. Not 100% sure on that one.

...But that's about it.

Ceo's Sprite doesn't buy in my game. None of the Teladi MO's do, unless I've been really unobservant.

One of my ships once collected several hundreds of energy chain-bolt ammo after a big fight. As it was in early game I definitely wanted to sell it. Unless someone has other experience I have to say: it seems that you can't sell it anywhere. I think I have docked at any type of station without selling one single ammo.

Check your encyclopedia - it will list any docks (trading stations, equipment docks, corporate HQs) which buy the stuff.

My game has the Teladi MOs plus Strong Arms as trading points for it... running 1.3

Just to answer the question:

If you're willing to use what is sort of an exploit, read below:

Just buy a freighter, don't bother with upgrading it, transfer all your ammo over to that freighter and then sell the freighter to a shipyard. The shipyard will buy the freighter AND anything that the freighter is carrying, including your undesired ammo and equipment.

Offloading ammo is a nightmare,I remember back in my noob days(yesterday)I made a complex witth 4 md fabs.Result utter waste of time.
