I found Aegis in X3 TC

I found the Aegis Weapon system as a single ware floating in space.
encyclopedia says "adds commands to shipboard computer". I can not
find any commands in the menus. does it depend on ship type, i am currently
flying a M7 Tiger.
I can sell it for Approx 53 Million.
The game is modified. using Mars but nothing that adds wares.

since it's modified -> not relevant ... do the same in vanilla and maybe ...

Except that he is only using MARS and MARS does NOT touch the AEGIS weapon system.

Which is a ware in the game, but not useable.

However the point is that once your game is modified you cannot match it up against someone elses game. So other people going to look for a floaing ware would teach us little.

not sure about how you found it, but its just a fossil from x2. they also have bph in the script editor as a ware upgrade but neither actually do anything in x3

you know maybe it was dropped by an ai ship. they get random upgrades when they spawn in and occasionaly drop them. chances, 1 in a million but the only reasonable explanation other than a rouge script.
