Boarding and OWPs

Since an Orbital Weapons Platform (OWP) is technically an M1, are they capable using Marines? I'd love to get a few of these to put around my complexes once I get my desktop put back together. FedEx is delivering my RAM which is the last part I need. Every vehicle is starting to sound like a FedEx truck though...
