Shadowtech Personel have compleated work on the Osprey Mini-Destroyer

Improved Speed and Handleing

Rumors persist of a 13 or 14 Gun model in the works, however this has not been confirmed as of yet.

I rec. taking that "100000" (4th # from the end) and increasing it to about "500000". A more realistic price. It's not a cheat if you have to pay for it.

Can this Osprey script be downloaded or is that blue print listed a codding that has to be put into a particular folder somewhere to get this option of a ship to buy?

guys we need something that you can use to aply mods to the game not like now cause its so frigging hard to find what to do

How do I apply this blueprint to game. I am gathering I have to unpack a file and then replace the existing info with the blueprint info and leave the rest alone. What file and how do I unpak? Is there a downloadable file to unpack?

Managed to get the game unpacked and the Tships.txt file is available. do I make the changes starting from the top? or do I need to find the start of the code for the Osprey?

Just replace the Ospry code: Starts with "940;0;0.04500;0.04500....ends with ;SS_SH_T_M6;" It's about two-thirds of the way down the page. Make a copy of the Tships.txt file first and save it elsewhere in case there is a problem. :)

Thanks for the info so far. I have modified it. Where do i save it to. I had in in a folder called: "t", then I put in root folder. Bought one in Siezwell, there was no change to the weapons configuration. still 2 main guns and up and down turrets are still one gun

Repacking is not required to play the game. The Tships.txt file goes in the types/ folder not the t/ folder. Put the original Tships.pck file in a "backup" folder somewhere. You're replacing the .pck file with the .txt file.

Thanks again for trying to help. I don't have a "types" folder listed in the:enlight/x2 . I have: images; loadscr; mov; recording; scripts; soundtrack, t, util; weblinks. I set for show hidden files and folders. Initially I had to do a search to find the Tships folder. Did a search for "types" folder couldn't find. What am I doing wrong?

Possible Problems:
1) European version doesn't have the types folder?

2) You have unpacked the game incorrectly.

3) The Split have infiltrated your pc and have hacked your game. :lol:

1a) I don't have the European version of the game so it's possible it may have different files and folders than the US version. I'll look into this.

2a) Have you used any other mods successfully. Oh, and after installing the mod did you script or purchase a new Osprey, a lot of mods won't affect existing ships, only newly created ones.

3a) Kill the stinking Split, guilty or not! :lol:

I have the US version. I used the x2modder setup v0.1b. I put in the enlight/x2 folder and just ran it after I downloaded and ran the microsoft file that was needed. Was there something else I was supposed to do?

Have used a few scripts successfully, but not a mod yet.

When you unpack the 3 cat files with the dat unpacker you'll need to combine the 3 new data folders (I usually use Stone D's tool to unpack the cat files and X2 modder on the pck files) To combine the data files simply move the contents of 02 data into 01 data then 03 data into 01 data overwriting as you go. When you've done this 02 and 03 data should contain only empty folders. Then move the contents of the 01 data folder into the X2 root dir. A few folders in 01 have the same names as some already in the root dir., again overwrite as you go. Then delete the 3 empty data folders. Move 01cat, 02cat, 03cat, 01dat, 02dat, and 03dat into a backup folder or delete them. Then you are ready to unpack the pck files. After unpacking one of them move the pck file to a backup folder.
My guess is you still have the cat and dat files in the root dir. so the game is working off of them or they did not unpack. I've had problems getting X2 modder to unpack the cat files that's why I use Stone D's tool for them.
There are other sets of instuctions around on how to do this. Try the commanders site (look in links here at ecosoft) and xscripting.com.

Hi everyone, sorry to leave everyone hanging, I drive a semi all week so Im usually gone all week and can only "mod" and answer questions on the weekends, and Im only stopping in now for a few minutes. Storm_Front is knowledgeable to help explain how to use this stuff, but yes you must unpack your game and replace existing data to use all these "Blueprints" Ive been putting out. Mabey this weekend Ill make a mod for all this crap, but right now I gotta go, have to drive 495 miles by tommarrow morning and its 4 in the afternoon here so unless I want to drive all night I gotta fly. Anyway thanks for helping people Storm_Front. Ill be back this weekend prob with some more mods and can answer questions then. See ya then...

might be easyest to write a simple step by step way to do it along with a link to an extrator program..it'll save a lot of work in the longrun..then just link to it with each blueprint.

I have tried this and the 16 gun ver but now i cant to dock my harrier with new improved Osprey.

I replaced a Xeon TL or TS entry but my improved titan will allow my harrier to dock though

Any ideas why ??? and how can I fix it ???
