has anyone got a pic of a space fly iv seen one but has anyone manadged to capture one on 'film' a pic

Not to my knowledge. I think there several different colored spaceflies floating about (3?).

never tried to SS one, but I've noticed in certain sectors when I'm in SETA waiting for a trader or a TL to move to me I get bumped out of it by a spacefly, you can try finding one that way.

You see some with the terran plot.

Its one of the first patrol missions. The terran pilot will point out space flys and then the commander will basicly tell her to shut up and continue with the mission.

In Omicron Lyrae one of Terran pilots says something about spaceflies.

I looked around but saw nothing there, no spaceflies at all anywhere.

I've been literally swarmed once by spaceflies. I was mining Nividum in an UFJ sector in a Hyperion. Blasted 2 roids with Hornets and a swarm of spaceflies started to fly over me. Quite a sight. Too bad the Hyp can't carry Ion Disruptors (needed to "stun" the flies so they can be captured).

I've done it, it's fairly fun, but by the time you have the equipment for it, it's no longer lucrative enough to be worth doing as a cash source(theres far more lucrative things you could do with weaponry on the level of an ion disruptor). Finding them can also be time consuming, though there are techniques to make it easier.

I just got swarmed by them in Omicron Lyrae a few minutes ago, the first time it's ever happened in all the time I've played(aside from purposely searching for them), pity I didn't have an ID on my ship...

I was using the ion disruptor and stunned a huge swarm just before. Didn't know what happened at first. I don't usually notice them but I have seen them before.

Just got buzzed by a small horde for spaceflies, bout 25-30, in CBSW when I returning with my Kestal to dock with my Ele so I could head back to pirate space. Pity about not having right tools, although I don't think the Kestral can mount ID's or the Spacefly Collector.

Currently considering starting a Spacefly Collection Agency......and we should have a Spacefly Farm.

Do spaceflies stay in the sectors that they are in or do they travel through multiple sectors using the gates?

I just went through all my screenies (who would have thought that 400 screenshots would fill up 1.9GB of space?), and found just the one, rather poor quality shot of a spacefly. I'm sure they were more common in X3R, but they are still around. Keep an ear out for them, rather than an eye. The spacefly has a rather distinctive way of 'singing'.
