Point Singularity Projectors: Pwnage?

Post by snyderm » Fri, 17. Apr 09, 19:50

I picked up a few Point Singularity Projectors that were dropped by a K, and put them in my truelight seeker.

One charge up shot from 3 of them killed a Xenon PX! Woot!

Now I think I want a Tokyo or an Osaka to mount them in large numbers. Does anyone have experience using these ships with PSP? Are they as powerful as I seem to think they are (about +1 1/2 times times as strong as a charged up PPC)?

yes, a fully charged up PSP salvo from a Tyr (12 in a turret) does over 8GJ shield damage, enough to nearly one shot most ships.

The problem is PSPs have very bad DPS due to its horrible firing rate, and when used by the AI, they never charge it up, so most people prefer PPCs for turrets they do not control.

Oh, good point. The refire rate does seem to be terrible.

Maybe I will reserve one turret with PSPs, and only fire them manually.

one charge salvo from a Tyr side turret (12) will blow up a Q. which is very satisfying.

They are here:
You can mount them on only handful of ships and they are worth a million bucks a piece so don't count on much.

Also, Truelight Seeker is best armed with Gauss Cannons.

That reminds me why I'm sitting here on the forum instead of in the game...

Spoiler the answer, but how do we get the Aldin missions started? I've completed HQ and working Final Fury.

Squish the purple bugs and the new plot should kick in shortly after.
