Where can i buy a repair laser?

Where can i buy a repair laser. I want to eqiup one to my magnetar to sell my capped fighters for more money.

Nowhere. Your spacesuit has one built in tho, so do some EVA and repair your cappings.

then how come can some ships mount repair lasers and i know my spacesuit has on it just takes so long.

Repair laser, mobile drilling system and tractor beam all share a laser slot, so if a ship can mount one, it can mount the others. That doesn't mean you can actually buy those lasers, and even if you can buy them, it doesn't mean you can actually use them--for example, most TS class ships don't have enough laser energy to fire a Tractor Beam even if their ship info display claims they can carry one.

What happened to the idea of Repair Drones? Would be much better to have a few of those buggers than having to patch the ship up yourself...

I remember that there was a script/mod that added two repair laser factories to the game... it was called Mobile ship Repairs.... in the Scripts and Modding section

Using Cycrows cheat pack you can also spawn Repair lasers on-board ships but i have never tried to use them
