Factory Complex - adding to existing Complex

Can you help me understand this. It is my first Complex.

I Have an existing Wheat/Space Fuel complex that is kind of working ( I ma still getting skill at factories - this is my second)

I want to add another Wheat factory to the existing Space Fuel complex.

Can I do that?
Do I need another complex construction kit?

yes, place your new station and connect it to your complex using another complex kit.

And remember, once you've done that you need to reset all the factory parms and ships.

Ships homebased at a complex will return home if you add fabs to the complex and all prices/jump range/etc are reset to default.

could anyone explain more about complex? How do youu create them etc ?

Edit: Thanks for the link to the FAQ. but i couldnt find what the complex will do, will it be like one station that sells everything that is connected to it so you dont have to fly to every station or what?

Essentially, yes. All your old stations exist, you can just no longer access them individually.

Tubes appear connecting all the fabs, and you get one docking hub for the complex. All the settings (prices, jumps, etc) are all controlled from the one screen, and all goods are shared - ie rather than having individual supplies of e-cells per station, you just have one huge pool (equal to the total volume each of the stations could hold) that they all draw from. Saves you having lots of ships bouncing round the universe, getting shot ;)

The most common reason for them (but not the only one) is to build self sufficient fabs - the most common example is an SPP for free e-cells.
Drop an SPP, which needs crystals.
Add some crystal fabs. They need silicon and food eg meetsteak cahoonas.
Add a silicon mine.
Add some secondary food fabs. The secondary food fabs need primary food eg Argnu Beef.
Add some primary food fabs.

Then you have the SPP with everything it needs without any freighters. The SPP makes all the e-cells for all the other fabs and you have a load left over - 45K an hour in my example below. You need to dump enough e-cells or crystals in to get things started, of course :)

Then you start adding missile and weapon fabs...
