First of all i want to congratulate you to this great Plugin but...
I've got a problem

My Game-language is German:
After I installed the files in the zip folder I played some time and got the boardermessage that an argon invasion is going on. I checked the incoming message and got only this Error: First Try + Second Try
I dont know why this happen because the 7906-L049 to 7911-L049 files are all in the t folder as they should be. Does anyone know what i could to to solve this?
It's really annoying to know an invasion is going on but without having an idea where this could be :evil:

*Also tried the SPK-File with the Plugin Manager with the same result*

To be honest I have no experience with foreign language files, as it was not I who made them. I just made them available as per request. I think, or at least I guess, he tried them before he presented them here. Seems strange though.

Delete the German files, rename the English ones to match your game language (don't forget to set their language ID to 49) and you should be good to go. Happy hunting :wink:

One question.

Will this actually lower race relations enough so that, say, a Boron freight hauler will be in actual danger of being shot down trying to trade at a split factory?

Always thought it was kind of dumb seeing Boron ships tooling around Split core sectors like they were best of buds, or, Argon ships dropping by Paranid Prime and the local Paranid military just waves at them.

Not by default, as far as I know, though. I thought about including it, but that would literally mean all Boron TS would be killed in Split space and such. I have this in my own game, and I have not seen any bad effects of it. But I was advised against it as it could imbalance the trade market.

If people want me to enable hatred, I could release it as a simpled add-on mod as optional download with ease :)

I wouldn't use this addon. The economy would go down even faster because half of the market would be gone if no Trader could pass trough an Enemy sector. But i think it would be fun to see this "Turkey shooting" when a convoy tries to travel through a core Sector :lol:

Btw: Deleting the files and rename the english ones works, so thanks for the info. But it's keinda weird anyway. I will try to translate the files for myself and see if it works this way.

€: Hmm thats the problem. Don't know why but translating the files just does not work for me. So i will keep the english file ^^

I must admit that I have noticed the same issue as the first few replies in this thread. I've tried to participate in the defense of a sector four or five times now, but each time there have only been an M6 and a few fighters pitted against a capital ship force, all with the corresponding names given by the script (meaning not the sector defense forces). The fights are so piddly that I've never been able to make it from the gate to the combat in time to do anything.

In all my battles, and that's a lot, I have only experienced this two times. Why this happens I have no idea. 9 out of 10 times there are major, big, engagements.

i want to know wether the other ones made the same experience with this invasion script (that there are only small invading fleets and way bigger Defense Fleets).

edit: And the payout ... is it based on the fight rank and similar to fight missions?

I haven't experienced the payouts differ with fight rank and such though. But then again when I fight, there are huge fleets 80% the time and I am stinking rich so I never really check. I'm just in it for the action :)

I can't uninstall this. Changing all AL Plugins to "No" seemingly has no effect, as invasions keep happening. I was trying to replace this with Improved Races (because I'm insane), but this is still running and causes a crash if the scripts are removed.

There are several scripts. If the AL script has called the invasion script, setting the plugin to NO won't help I think. You need to kill the invasion script process, then it will work for sure. You'll find it under running scripts and press Del to kill.

It's my first day running tc with scripts and im really new to this aspect....so, i've noticed that i have to "enable" these race invasions, and my only question is...how? :?

q about destroyed stations...

Hi all...
I noticed that after invasion (using AL Plugin: Race Invasions) some races take over sector...and they destroy many stations in that sector.... so my q : will those stations re-spawn?

Stations always respawn somehow via the GoD engine. It watches over the universe in an attempt to keep the economy balanced. It may be fast or slow and it very likely will not replace the stations with the same stations, but something the economy needs will be put back.

Looking through ALL the combat scripts, this is the one I've been looking for. I've always wanted to be a defender of the universe, and now I can. But only the Argon and Boron, I don't like the Split or the Paranid.

hey, so how exactly does this script work?

Do i just go to the AI menu and turn for instance Argon invasion to 'Yes' and then wait for one to happen. Or is it possible to control where the invasions occur?

Also is the race patrol script gd with this??
