Remote Guided Warhead

Post by Belgarath » Fri, 10. Jul 09, 18:42

I searched the forum and couldn't find this specifically, so...

What's the deal with these things? Can they really remotely be guided? I haven't found any way to take control of it and there's nothing in the TC Encyclopedia on how to do so.
The new PC I just built for myself:
i5-13600k, 32GB DDR5 RAM, RTX 3060 12GB
It'll do until I can upgrade the graphics card.

I believe they are just like any other missile, not actually remote guided at all.
Intel Core i5 4670k@4.4Ghz, Asus AMD R9 290 Direct CU, MSI G45 Gaming Motherboard, 2x4GB GSkill TridentX 2400mhz DDR 3 , 500GB Samsung Evo SSD, 2Tb Seagate HDD, Creative Z Sound Card, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

it is slightly misleading, but these missiles are actually rather good.

They have the feature of retargeting to a new ship you see as a foe if the original target s destroyed.

they also pack a nice punch and go adequately fast, making them rather easy to use against M3 and M6 targets. they can also be fired at reasonable ranges unlike banshees and are perfect for removing clusters at long distance, fire one from across the sector and a minute later it pops with no mess.

Altogether these are some of the nicest missiles to salvage and you can always feel good about firing them off in you next encounter to free up cargo space.

I have seen AI-fired RGWs tracking targets...but those fired by me do not seem to track...they fly straight... any suggestions?

If you shoot it with a hostile target selected they will always track.
