EMP Rifles

Hey all, I was wondering. If I buy emp rifles. Do I need to buy one for each marine, or just one for the ship in which the game will consider a small stock pile and all marines will use them. : p

Is there a special way of equipping them, or is just buying them good enough?

As far as I'm awake all rifles (Lowyield, Disintergrator & EMP etc) are just a tradeable commodity and not used by marines/yourself etc
