.sav files in XBTF

.sav files in XBTF

Sorry if this has been raised many times.
I have searched and searched the forum.
I want to load the .sav files from XBTF running on my desktop pc to my laptop.
When I open the the XBTF folder on the desktop pc there are no
.sav files.

Also I have X-Tension on the desktop pc and in that folder the .sav files for this game are there.

Thanks for any help.

The logical conclusion to that is that you haven't got any save games to transfer. ;) When you run the game, do you have any saves you can load?

Yes I have 6 saved games, but they are not showing in the XBTF folder.
Really strange.

Feel free to slap me if I'm wrong, but are you looking in the XBTF folder in "program files" not "my documents?" As far as I'm aware saves should be in "my documents."

You're wrong. The savegames were only moved to My Documents in X3. Prior to that they were in the game folder.

Yes, I am running Vista.
Have done a search but still can't find them. Although it will find the X-tention .sav files.

Are you running X-BTF as Administrator but browsing the desktop as another user (electric-magic or whoever)? If so, they could be in a virtualised location - similiar to this (X2).

As soon as I can remove my son from the PC I will check that out.

Found the files :)
Did a full search called (everywhere)for sav files. The list came to 320 files
and checking them all managed to find my 6 saves for x-btf.
Loaded them on the laptop and working :)
