Passengers

Post by vampirecosmonaut » Fri, 16. Oct 09, 06:46

You can enslave them and convert them to marines (with a script), but is there any kind of mod out there that offers less nefarious ways of dealing with passengers? I'm a nice guy and I just let them off near a station and they gleefully drift to safety, but I get nothing.
The first documented attempt in human history to use a rocket for spaceflight
was made in the 16th century by a Chinese Ming dynasty official named Wan Hu.
The resultant explosion presumably killed him.

if you are docked at a pirate station, you can enslave them via the cargo menu.

You can then sell them as slaves

I kind of already mentioned the selling them as slaves.
I also mentioned the Convert to Marine script.
I was just looking for a more humane option.
I know they are just pixels on a screen, but I have morals.

Actually, I discovered that if you have passengers on your ship or a ship that you own, you can go through the freight list and select one. Some that were going somewhere when they were brought aboard, a menu will pop up similar to enslave, but it will say info.

Info brings you to a screen where it shows his race and desired destination, and more interestingly a REWARD. Usually worth more than selling them as a slave, for taking them to their destination, I assume.

I havent tried it yet though.

THIS IS IN VANILLA, no scripts. You can try it and see if it works.

I know there was a script in Reunion where when you picked up passengers you could drop them off at any station and get a reward for droppong them off and if in a sector that was there same race your rep with that race went up. But for the life of me I can't remember the script name and someone would have to port it over.

I was docked at a Pirate Anarchy Port while playing last night and discovered the INFO screen. I tried it again at other random stations and the option wasn't there.

I have a TS docked at one of my stations with 150 passengers on it that I have captured and have them imprisoned on that ship. I will have to try it out tonight and see.

I'm using a script i wrote to convert passengers into "Colonial Deck Crew" - They slowly repair your ship without having to dock.
All those moments will be lost.. in time, like tears.. in rain.

I don't know if you're being serious or not. I mean I want to tell you that it's a prisoner ship on Battlestar Galactica but if it'll make me feel like an idiot......

I use passengers for target pratice.. It hones my skills doing high speed passes.

I enjoy it greatly with the ones who I am transporting and fail the mission because of their whinning matters.
