- lasertowers won't let me leave Earth torus..

well, I made it there eventually, but now the lasertowers round the Torus won't let me go..
they just keep blowing me to smithereens every time I try to leave the sector..
what did I do to offend them..??

- I got the big sign accross the screen when the Terran missions ended..
- and now there's no current mission guidance available
- did I miss an in-game convo, or what..!!?

- is this a glitch?
- I just recently loaded 2.5 update during the Terran mission..

- where do I go from here..?? :gruebel:

Don't use the autopilot. Fly to the TOA on manual.

Don't use autopilot.

Autopilot, and it's random vectoring, mean you will quickly fly out of the permitted cone of movement.

Better: get a fast TP (150m/s or faster) and do some transport Missions.

- couldn't see any missions available in Terran space..

- mind you, didn't look closely, maybe I should put a coupla traders in one of their sectors

Look harder :p.

You can usually find quite a few transport and return ship missions. Combat missions will only show up in HE, iirc.

for terran rank you can do combat mssions in Heretics End as Power said, or buy a springblossom in Aldrin for Transport missions inside the terran sectors (springblossom should work as a TP and with 360ms you barley need to worry about time limits)

Just a thought. If your not too worried about time just set up sector traders in Terran sectors. That's what I did. Took a while to build rank but I didn't have to monitor them much after I got them going which left me free to do other things.

Station build missions also work nicely, although they take longer than in Commonwealth space.

- I used the Humble Trader start, so that'd make sense..

Increasing your Terran or ATF rank does not increase your allowed access in Earth. You can still only fly between the Torus and the TOA.

Cannot place satellites or stations there, and cannot fly anywhere else in the sector.

Yes you can, as long as you place them in the path between the TOA and the Torus.

In my game, collision avoidance when I deploy the sat kicks it like 40km or more away, where it promptly gets vaporized. Have not had any luck placing them in that pathway.

You may be right. I placed a satellite there OOS and never been there again. Probably if I flight ther the sat will be kicked off the flight path :roll:
