Killed on sector earth

I just started playing this game a few days ago and I decided to explore the universe. I ended up at earth for a sec or two because as soon as I arrived I got instantly killed since I hadn't completed a mission or something like that. Is this a bug?

I haven't played the previous games of the X universe so there might be something I'm missing from the storyline. I'm playing as Terran Defender if that make a difference. Anyone know why this happened?

you have to do plot missions... They tell you to leave when you enter if your not athorized to be there. ex mars ect..

I never got any warning of any kind when I entered Mars for example. When I did arrive to Earth it was just a cutscene where I could see them blast my ship. It just surprised me that they just killed me without warning and thought it might be a bug.
