Xenon invasion

Right , i have just luanched an invasion into Xenon sector 101 and destroyed the station and the xenon fleet, and placed my own station and defences in there.

im wondering if the xenon will luanch a counter fleet to try and take back thier sector and if so, where from and how big will it be ?

my fleet consists of 1 colossis with a full compliment of m3+'s and m4+'s, 1 titan, 4 cerberous, 4 heavy centaur, 4 minotaur and 5 gladiator :wink: .

how big do you estimate the response fleet will be ?
i have 2 more fleets around the same size in the surrounding pirate sectors( ive been busy :wink: )that may be able to hold them off do you think ?

Yes,you will defeat the first wave but like I said Xenon sectors are not a good place to build stations .They will criple your defence forces slowly and will regain their sector.

I guess i just evacuate the sector and leave my station there then.

i have been planning on launching an attack on the nearby yaki sectors, will that be the same ?

Yes.All races have the same behavior when they are enemys to you .
One more reason to steal their ships and kill or sell their owners to a slave camp :twisted: :fg:

:lol: im doing the same thing in 472 and was heading to 101. What i did tho for my sector defense is that any sector i capture my defense wings are comprised of that races ships. So in xenon sector 472 i have 1 J, 1K, 2Q's, 3PX's, and about 60 some fighters (mostly LX) + with some scripts i was able to buy 4 Orbital Defense Stations and place 360 lasertowers around each gate. So far ive been attacked by anything and everything except a J and K with no loses.

ogamerdg, how did you get Orbital Defense Station to work? Do you think you could send me the file? Or post a link to it. The one in the S&M forum hasn't worked for me. I hate to steal this thread, but mine never worked. I haven't heard of anyone making it work either. Hate to lose the chance to easily ask someone who has it working.

well all i did was download it and copy the files over. then i bought the ODS and placed it where i wanted it. you can use the tractor beam but i found that warping it around in a sector with the cheat script is the easyest way of placing it.

they may have fixed your problem since you downloaded it. mine worked fine.

this is where i found mine prob the same that you found.

if it still dosn't work then look at your scripts/mods and see if they use the same settings, commands etc... also the patches may help i have 2.4 if i remember correctly.
