I think the SOS takes over ships but im not sure never used them so...

The over ride software allows you to claim a ship with out the space walk part.

The scrambler software hides the over ride software that you have installed from the local cops.

ok then what about the cargobay shielding, and camouflage device?

Cargo bay shielding is supposed to hide illegal goods. There has been a lively debate as to whether it does or not.

Camouflage device does nothing because it doesn't actually exist in the vanilla game and scripted in versions of it don't work.

Camoflauge device is supposed to render your ship invisible to gravidar and the eye.

Cargo bay shielding prevents illegal goods in your cargo bay from being detected by scans.

But as mentioned above, the camo device is not in the game.

i dont know where you find the camouflage thing.

cargo shield is to "shield" illegal cargo from being detected by cop

each unit of that shielder only hide certain number/volume of the illegal cargo
so if you plan to do massive illegal trading, you need to installed more of that shielder
as for many, i dunno, you gotta trial by yourself.
