I know this is probably on a sticky somewhere, but I've looked & I can't find it.
So, basically, how do I edit the weapon slots on a ship?
As in their position & what they can equip.
Is it possible to add more?
Basically I just want to ram a sh*tton of lasertower weapons onto the front of my M2 so I can have a nice beam-cannon type thing.

"what they can equip". That is easy (?) tweak bitmask (stored in "TShips") with doubleshadow's Editor. See the Tutorials sticky.
"position" ... no idea where the coordinates are stored, but they definitely relate to the 3D models, so that task is more involved. And there are hardcoded limits on how many "weapon slots" a ship can have.

I believe X3 has a hard limitation of 12 guns per port. (6 x 12 / 72 total).
I'm currently looking into creating an XTM Argon Leviathan Mk2. (w/ 72 guns instead of 48, mainly the missing forward and aft ports, BEMP and BFLK support)
If I'll managed to find what/how, I'll post my results.
