C. They also could be far away from the center of the sector. Also, they tend to be parked next to any of the gates.

By the way, there's no shipyard in Family Rhonkar, so you won't find a TL there. Try Cho's Defeat.

A good tip for making sure a TL is available when you want one is to hire them in their home sectors and have them dock at the shipyard. They will then stay there, not costing you anything, until you need them.

That at least prevents the search time when a TL you want isn't available.

Stealing your first one isn't really practical any more. The time and cost of marines means you'd be better off trading to make enough to buy one.

Stealing to increase your fleet later is a good plan, since you can only get the Terran Atmospheric Lifter by stealing it, and that has the biggest cargo hold of any TL.
