Scan Asteroids - Hint or Warning?

Post by Xander Cade » Mon, 11. Jan 10, 22:20

Picked up a Scan Asteroids mission and two of the ones I had to scan were the 90 Yield Ore ones in Antigone Memorial. On completion of the mission the Teladi said something to the effect of "Ohh I see you found some high yield asteroids, very interesting".

Is this a hint to new players to build Ore Mines there, or is it a warning that the Teladi are going to build on them if you're not quick enough?

I think its one of the few random responses. I dont think its associated to whatever you find.

I've personally never seen the GoD engine building new mines, or at least, I've never seen it stealing asteroids if it does so. Likewise, I've never personally gotten a build mission requesting a new mine, so I'm going to assume that your 'roids are fine.

God built stations will just spawn - they will never steal your asteroids :)

This means you scanned an asteroid with a yield over 50 (iirc). You get a little extra money for that over what the mission pays normally.

No one will build on the rock though until you do, however.
