How do you use System Override Software in X3TC
System Override Software
the SOS allows you to claim derelict ships without you having to spacewalk.
so, just do the same thing when you're going to claim one: select ship, wait until you are close enough or until the claim button lights up and then claim ship.

btw, SOS is illegal software. get a software signature scrambler from the Duke's to mask the SOS signal. Otherwise, the cops will chase you.

i can kinda see the balance in it....
go into a pirate sector with an m1, get within 1000m of the target, claim, load fighter into carrier, rinse and repeat untill full.
or,
go into a pirate sector with an m1 filled with cheap m5s that have jumpdrives and ecells, get within 1000m of the target, claim, exchange jumpdrive + ecell onto new m6 / m6+ / m7 / m7m / m2 / m1, rinse and repeat untill depleted.
.............................
i so want it to do that now >_<

I've never had that be an installed upgrade on a secondhand ship.Deadbeat_Spinn wrote:Yup. Unless you get very lucky when buying a second hand ship that has one onboard.eldyranx3 wrote:So in X3TC the only way to get the SSS is to get one from the Duke? That's going to suck
