UFOs

What is it with these flying saucers I see zipping around now and again? Saw them in X2, even followed one for an hopur and a half hoping it would lead me to some secret base or sector, but it just flew from one side of the universe and back again
Would it be worth following one of these guys in X3R?

They're just some sort of running-gag easter egg thing that have been in all X games since XT; they just fly around making that weewoo noise and are homebased to nothing, it's only worth telling an M5 to follow one early on to map the universe.
You can see their stats here if it's of any interest, but no you can't fly them.

It's not a UFO. Its an optical illusion caused by swamp gas. And disreguard the super secret hidden UFO base of the far side of ******* planet.

UFOs ... in outer space... really I mean come on... technically everything in space is a UFO! At least from a realworld human perspective... dogs probably think airplanes are UFOs... it's probably some sneaky Paranid trick though, dirty three eyed @#$...grumble grumble...

They're good mappers and the Goner rep thing seems to suggest that perhaps these UFOs are some sort of Goner scout, their mysterious nature can be attributed to religious types being myseterious... It's just a Goner Mapping Drone or something... just shoot the damn thing and forget you ever saw it... pointless grumble grumble

Unless you can post THAT specific thread I'm saying you were hallucinating - a U.F.O. in X I never heard ANITHING like THAT before.

Yes,I believe it was all a "wild goose chase" ,but there are UFOs in the x games,but no UFO base that has ever been proven.
