Thats it... I'm declaring war on the Boron.
Well described problem, often by me. Doesn't make it any less irritating. Patrol mission-1 million. 3 sectors, 7-800,000 more added from kills. Took on 3 p's in my trusty perseus raider. During the conflict was caught in a storm of IBL and Ion D fire. A friggin thresher and hydra were "helping" by shooting me.
Got out of that one. Moved to another area out of range of tweedle dee and tweedle dumb. Took on 2 l's. One bailed, the other was destroyed pretty quick. Looked up for other targets just in time to see a hammerhead fly into the freshly bailed L. The end.

Split now give me death? Nah. Just give me your ship.

Sounds like standard procedure for Boron military operations - as it happens I'm one in my current game (Lost Lar) & most of my patrol missions involve filling the space around my ship with an indiscriminate storm of flak shrapnel & ion bolts. Tends to annoy everyone within about 3km of my ship (which is why I ended up naming my ship 'Collateral Damage').philip_hughes wrote:Well described problem, often by me. I've had a Titan commander do much the same to me and assist in killing some twonky little fighters by chucking a zogging great missile into the melee. Thankfully I was in a Hype at the time and managed to survive (just)...
Afterwards I decided to "relieve him of his command" - lost a marine or two but gained a Titan and made the former Captain walk the plank without a space suit (or at least that's what I like to think).
