Need Help Clearing Yaki Minefield
Well, I just finished The Hub and now I'm trying to clear out a Yaki minefield for my PHQ. I'm not sure how to do it...when I tell my ship to fly to a mine on the sector map, it seemingly flies around randomly. I can't see the mines highlighted on my HUD, and the only thing I can do is use the camera view. Even then, I'm having trouble finding them and I'm sure there must be an easier way to go about doing this. Either that or I'm probably doing something wrong.

6 PSGs will do the trick.

Why six when you can mount 8? However, probaly the best solution for the problem

The arrows will point you in the general direction of the mines which in my case was close enough to trigger them. I was in a Tiger.mmaster211 wrote:That's the thing; I used the mission guidance arrows and they don't point precisely at them. They just point me in a general direction, not the actual mines themselves.
You could try what others have suggested or if you have turrets, have them set to attack enemies.
What Magnu said... have a long range weapon in your turrets and set those to attack your enemies. Then it's just a matter of manually flying in the general direction of the mines. Took me a week to figure it out.
Don't ever have your autopilot engage to attack the target, cuz it's guaranteed to crash your game.

So flails track targets you can't see?

@Technojerk36 :
As long as there is an ennemy (even out of range) the flals can be launched and will target the nearest hostile.
@EnderIII :
I did it in my kraken and it took me less than 5/10 minutes to eliminate most of the mines, afterwards the Outpost is easily taken care of, as it has too few shields.

SCUM : They may exceed you in number, but not in value.
