Best PPC or PSP?

I heard from a website that Photon Pulse Cannon is better than Point Singularity Projector even tho its less damage... Because it fires faster.

So you know which is best? PSP or PPC?

Actually.... only the Xenon K and Truelight Seeker can use them (of non Terran ships)

And really, this topic should be in the spoilers forum, not the S&M forum.

Though in the spirit of this forum, you can always change the PSP to fire faster... I did, now it fires only just a little slower than the PPC (45 rounds/min compared to the 60 odd rounds a min.... much better than the initial 6 rounds vs 60)

However, because I practically never fly capital ships.... the only time I ever really noticed it was when I was clearing Xenon sectors... and they were firing PSP's against me.... THAT is crazy... when you suddenly have all these twinkling stars flying at you....

Personally I think PPCs are better all around., but PPCs can't wipe out a q in a single alpha strike.

PSP are great first-hitters. You can fire a charged shoot and kill many ships from one volley. You can even cripple destroyers. Shoot once, turn and leave, and not a single enemy PPC will have hit you.
