I had always heard of the early game invasions of the Kha'ak but I had never actually seen them nor heard if them in a Teladi core sector!
Start: Teladi Trafficker
Sector: Siezewell
Ship: Teladi Vulture (slooooooooo...)
I started with spending a couple thousand of the cash I had on a couple speed upgrades. Yays, almost 60m/s. Quicker profit! From there, not knowing the area very well as I'm use to playing Boron 24/7 even sense X3R, I started exploring a bit. found some factories in Teladi Gain low on mainly energy cells and then I also found some nice jucie full SSP's in Family Whi. Yays, proffits! But all my cash's worth at 12 or 13, sell one sector over for 17-20.
Wash - Rinse - Repeat
Enter: Kha'ak
I think it was at around four game hours, but I'm unsure at this point.
About 10km from me in Teladi Gain while my vulture i'm in is chugging along at 60m/s or so full of energy cells 2 Destroyers, 1 Carrier, and four clusters or so appear(Woo, Kha'ak Jumpdrives) Oooou, pretty!
Wait...fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu Reverse Course, Reverse Course! A local unescorted Teladi Military Phoenix was about the same distance and gave a go at the whole group while they were still togeather but didn't get past droping their shields and damaging the two destroyers hull a little and of course a few scout kills before sinking. (buuuut providing a needed distraction, because every single one of those Kha'ak ships can out run me in my Teladi "Profit Heap" Vulture... Q _ Q) After that, the only things left in sector were all traders and their escorts, plus the local Casino Ship (LOL, gona be a fun ride...)
From there the Kha'ak force split up amongst them selves continuing to wreck havoc around the sector. I managed to be IS long enough to watch the 'Flower Farm beta' I was originally going to deliver my load too become a dormant wreck before disappearing into Family Whi/Safty. Great! Cut off from Teladi Space, lost, and a full load of energy cells in a sector with 3 full SSP's ... just great. What do I do next? ... Go back in!
Where most see problem Teladi see Profit! Taders, Escorts, Military Ships, all being destroyed and abandoned at the expense of the Kha'ak. W00t! Creeping along at 66m/s now (Upgrade!!!) with a shiny new Duplex Scanner(a real Upgrade!), I can effectively detect and see the Kha'ak ships early enough (mostly...) before they get in range and then alter course. Kyon Sweating Salvaging Operations Commence!
This above all else, is the most intense work I've done. I manged to quickly sell all those Ecells (price not preferable nor unprofitable) at the Drone production factory while no Kha'ak were around, freeing up plenty of cargo space. From here, I carfulley started picking up supplies and missles. A dragon fly here, an aurora there, 315 Stott Spices. Make my way back to the 'Flower Farm Beta' wreck to find 1,950 Ecells and small amount of Teladianium, Profits! But wait... a harrier!

From this point I also managed to grab 4 or so more Harrier's and send them on their way back to Siezewell or Family Whi (which ever is 'safer.') not all making it of course ... proffffits q _ q. But I personally flew back a Split Mamba(!), a split Caimen(!) and a Teladi Toucan(!) (Future Note: DO NOT repair these yourself, in space, around Kha'ak. It takes a while...) and an M4 I don't remember as I sold it right away, taking me from 60,000 to 400,000. yays! /Salvage break!
Now with the money, I sold what I didn't need (soo many M5'!), sent a couple m5's with Explore command in all three directions, gave the Caimen and Toucan some manuel trading routes, and am now personally trying to find the places to sell my Hodgepodge of salvaged resources. Proffits! I did go back in sector once from Siezewell following a massive Teladi Military Patrol with 1x Phoenix, 2xShriek, and every fighter under the sun, but once all IS, they all reversed course and went back to the military base. The Phoenix only got far enough in to turn around again! All the Kha'ak ships were just slightly further IS! /rage. (...way to go Military Base Response Revamp!...)
Least to say, this is where I am now. Sure made starting off A-LOT more interesting than I had expected. I was already planning on putting togeather an extensive salvaging operation/company but that was going to be after I was a little bit established, and off the Xenon's expense, not the Kha'ak! lol
I had read that there were two Kha'ak invasions, usually earlie on but I had never actually seem them, let alone read of them outside of Argon space. There are atleast a couple threads about it happening in Circle of Labour, but that one might be more obvious because the plot takes you there real earlie (or so I've read, never having done it. /sweat) Anyone else have some entertaining occurrences with this? I'd never seen more of the kha'ak than the occasional cluster showing up idling just out of sensor range in my Boron Core Sectors, having only played Boron previously, usually in Kingdom End every now and then. (Woo, Kha'ak Jobs!) But that happens to all core sectors to my knowledge.
Most people seem to remove them with M8's or Station Dropping, but I'm going to try and feed of this for as long as I can, sense the military doesn't seem to concerned with what's happening. /sigh, but hey, profit! Just makes the safer trip to Famly Whi(where some of my ships are stranded!) and out lying Teladi sectors that much longer.

In my current game, Tormented Teladi, I didn't get any Kha'ak visitors, so
I'm mostly just loitering in X347 picking up all the lovely loot the Xenon liberate from foolhardy traders in Vultures.
That is a bit daft though, even for autopilot, trying to cross a Xenon sector in
a ship that's slower than a Q. Go figure....
