I've seen add-ons where you can mod your game and buy them at equip docks. never used em tho

the only repair laser in vanilla is on your space suit

Your laser reloads when you jump in a ship, so you can glitch your way past the "re charge".

yeah, or just shove a coin in the Control key and go get a beer. Letting it recharge vs spamming it while it's at 0% doesn't seem to affect the rate a ship is repairing. I'm sure someone can point out that I'm wrong by doing some calculation or timing it. As long as it works i don't care :)

There's virtually no difference in the repair rate between a charged laser and an 'empty' one. So all you're doing is wasting the amount of time it takes to jump in the ship, jump out, turn and face the ship and then fire the laser.
Have a great idea for the current or a future game? You can post it in the [L3+] Ideas forum.

Repair Lasers fall into the same category as Tractor Beams and Mobile Drilling Systems which are technially "Special" Weapons so all non-damage weapons (tools) are grouped together even if one of them isn't buyable.

The 0% energy level is only used to create light effect on the laser and the repaired ship.

I noticed no différence of repair rate between fully charged and when i'm at 0%.

Thanks Deadbeat, I think it would be nice if carrier ships had the ability to repair their fighters at least after a major battle when they land

Scripts. Or it might be included in a future patch.

Patch would be great :)
