M2 or M1 which class or hoard for my own sector?
I have 94 million credits and well I've been wanting a capital ship for a while but I'm spoilt for choice can anyone make a good suggestion and give reasons the Boreas is a ''light'' destroyer, why?I am seriously thinking about getting it but I don't know whether it's the right choice. However I've also heard my own sector would be sort of good I need help please...
The only reason the boreas is named light is because of its ridiculously small profile. There are many choices, and they all depend on what you will make out of your ship, what activities you do, and if you take concern of the looks of the ships.
SCUM : They may exceed you in number, but not in value.

When OTAS classed the Boreas as a "Light Destroyer" it was with a wink and a grin. Even after receiving a nerfing that ship is still one of the most powerful M2's next to the Tyr & Osaka despite having a significantly smaller mass/profile.
Currently I own 4 of them but you may need some more credits to fully outfit it, a fully outfitted M2 usually will cost over 100mil.
I plan on getting more of them, after all what else am I to do with 40+bil (and growing)?

I failed one of the final fury missions where I had to escort some ships and got 6 yes 6 photon pulse cannons I was a bit nervous about whether it would destroy the plot or something fortunately it didn't and I got 6 free ppc so I can I outfit my destroyer slightly, what about the odysseus is that worth the money or is it just because it looks rather attractive? Also at last I'm starting to get paid sort of fairly so it shouldn't take to long to be able to afford to fully outfit it.

Get the Boreas.
[SOLAR]INFERNO, you won't go wrong getting that Boreas. It sounds like you haven't finished Final Fury yet, and you'll really need the Boreas for the last couple of missions. And it won't hurt to have for all the rest of them either.
Of course, the Tyr and the Osaka are better ships, in my opinion, but you probably don't have access yet. You'll need trained marines and probably an M2 support ship to get the Tyr anyway, at least the way I do it. So get the Boreas.
One of the better things about the Boreas is the availability of PPCs in the TC universe. When you get the money together, you should be able to buy them. And the Boreas is usable even without a full load of PPCs.
An M1 is a great ship. I have used a Tokyo and been very happy with it. But I use it behind a few Tyrs. A newer pilot might get eaten in an M1. If an enemy gets close, an M1 can be in trouble. And in combat it is not predicable where an enemy might show up. The M3s from a carrier can be deadly to the enemy, but they can also take a good time to deal with an enemy.
Good Hunting!

Yes I have finished the Final Fury Missions they were rather easy really bit of combat I simply used the Thresher for them the last mission was a bit awkward but there was still 2 out of the I think it was three M7s I got straight through it I simply use 3 PPC's and 1 ION Cannon on the front the right and left turrets have CIGs the top turret has PRGs the one turret (I can't remember which position it can hold four guns) has a PBG and 3 CIG, and then the spare turret which can hold one gun has one of the flak cannons I can't remember which, the Thresher easily got me through Final Fury.
