Falcon sentinel EBC energy
Alright I finally picked up a Falcon Sentinel, loaded 8x main EBC and nothing else - no shields and no other weapons. The generator is only 3700 with 92 regen on the Sentinel, but I figured that would be fine since 1 EBC only takes 6/s. Problem is when I took it out for a test with no enemies around, and just burning ammo, shooting all 8 straight ahead I ran out of energy. Last time I checked 8x6=48 which is less than 92, so what's the problem here? Am I missing something completely obvious?

They actually use 26 energy per second, if the awesome program is right.
Awesome program, little to no spoilers. (Only stats for weapons, not where to find them).

What is an md5?Raider480 wrote:Thanks for the link, but I can't seem to get the program to start. Got an md5 on the original?
You are using Windows, right? And unzipping it first...?
Then you should be able to open Laser Info.exe, and click on those ... buttons. Select the files that corespond in types, and it should work...
Maybe try compatibility mode, or running as an administrator?
In any case, the energy usage of EBCs is 26 energy per second.
So what you've got is a weapon with the power of a HEPT but the energy usage of an IRE. And if you run a Falcon Sentinel with 8 EBC's, you can fire them continuously for ~1600 rounds x 8 lasers = 12,800 bullets. Testing that, it's enough to take down 2GJ of shielding before running low (not 'out') on energy. And then there's still enough regen energy to continue firing 4 of the 8 continuously. I'd say that's pretty impressive.
Have a great idea for the current or a future game? You can post it in the [L3+] Ideas forum.

Haha that's true they can be a little... slower. I've decided to just load it up with banshees for whenever I get the urge to blow up something really big - Shrike will just handle the rest, or maybe I'll just pull my Cutlass back out...
Oh yeah, an md5 checksum is a hash from a file you can use to make sure what you downloaded was what the uploader intended. Linux and Mac check it pretty easily, but with Windows i just use a program like Md5Check or something.
Still, why does the encyclopedia say 6 when it's actually a lot higher? Is this the only weapon? Makes it hard to tell what to use in-game

The mass driver does use energy.
Just very little compared to what it does - like the EBC.
