I just purchased my first drone and satallites; how do I launch them?

Go into your cargo bay and eject them. ;)

It took me a while to figure it out to...

Before I eject my expensive drone, can I recover it? Or are they one use items? I

Tell the drone to 'Standby' and then run over it like any other cargo. Nice thing is, if it's been damaged at all, it's instantly fixed when you pick it up. :)

Same goes for satellites and lasertowers, too. Although you don't have to tell them to stop flying.
Have a great idea for the current or a future game? You can post it in the [L3+] Ideas forum.

Thanks everyone for the great answers. The learning curve of X3 is steep, but the community here makes it less daunting.

We've all been there mate - don't worry before you know it you'll have a host of tricks and techniques up your sleeve, and you'll find that you're the one handing out advice to those new to the game :D
