*POSSIBLE BUG* Cannot finish Aldrin Missions

Ok, got to the mission where I need the Tractor Beam, only to discover that the TB or more importantly the factory that makes 'em no longer exsists!
Did a quick tinternet search and it seems that the God engine will remove factories/ownerless ships/other stuff at various intervals during gameplay, I assume as a memory clean-up thing.
My question is: How can I complete the Aldrin missions without a TB (i don't want scripts to cheat).
I have looked EVERYWHERE for a TB or factory but never found one at this late stage in the game

Buy a TB factory and build them yourself.

The problem is I cant seem to find anywhere that sells them.

The Paranid Shipyard in Third Redemption sells em. If its been destroyed, wait a game day or two and it will respawn.

You should be able to find out from your ingame encyclopaedia (although iirc the shipyard Panther_Clipper gave is actually the only place for TB factories).

Yes - it's not a bug - it's a challenge.

A work around is to board the ship and send it to Aldrin 2.
SCUM : They may exceed you in number, but not in value.
