You just have to find the route in that isn't mined, which does take trial and error to locate.

Use the Z-axis; {/}button on sector map. The mines are all on the ecliptic, fly 30 km above or below center til you arrive above or below the ship, then fly straight at it.

I cant count how many small fleets i have lost that have auto pillocked into that sector :headbang:

Personally i enjoy flying through the mines and asteroids in a fighter xD however Eternall_00 makes a good point follow his advice.

If you sit above it, and align yourself with it, then you can move directly down with the strafe drive and then claim it from there. With your transport sitting within 5km, transfer a jump drive and energy to it and jump it out of the system. Then it won't blow itself up on the mines either.

Get a ship that can load PBG and flame your way to it.

Just an idea. Haven't tried it myself yet.

Is this the one in TC? What I did was fly my Panther in there, claim it with the Overide Control software, transfer over a docking computer, enter via a transporter device and then dock in the Panther.
These days I mainly just talk to plants and dogs,
all human contact seems painful, risky, odd,
so I stay acting god in my own X-Universe!

It's an incredibly bad idea--the mines are close enough to the ship that they'll blow it up when they get set off by the PBG, and they'll probably blow up your ship as well!

Which game ? In TC there is no free mamba raider, just a standard mamba and it is a lot easier to get.
Right on commander !

Those mines have a huge blast radius, though. I doubt that would work.

It has to be Reunion, because the Mamba isn't mined in TC.

P.S. You don't need to go 30km above it. 5km or so will do fine. In the early game before you have oodles of spare jumpdrives around you can have 1 ship follow the other 'up' away from the site, then when 5km or so above the ecliptic having it follow you or 'dock at station x' will be perfectly safe while you fly out of the sector manually...barring pirate interference of course.
