How to update from 2.5 to 2.7.1

Hello, I can not find a patch from version 2.5 to 2.7 or 2.7.1 I really do not want to reinstall the whole game. Can someone advice please? Thanks.

I am guessing you can use the 2.0 -2.7 patch than the 2.7-2.71 patch.

Why there is no 1.01 to 2.7,1 patch?

Guess someone forgot to pack the files in one archive...wonder who's responsable for that :roll:

An X3TC 2.5 to "current version" patch would make life easier for those of us who purchased the X3 gold edition.

Not that I'm complaining or anything :D :D

Or for those of us who simply forgot to update to 2.6 :)

You could always apply the 206MB "any version" to 2.6 patch, and then patch to 2.7 and 2.71 :P

ps. The thumb drive I store my game patches on started wimpering when I suggested this :o

The "2.0 to 2.7" update is actually "2.x to 2.7". Use that one.

Surely the fine folks at Egosoft wouldn't have included the note "This is an update for version 2.0 only." if that were the case :gruebel: :? :?:

Check it out for yourself. Click to download it and on the screen with the mirrors it is described as 2.x - 2.7. I hadn't up dated since 2.5 until last night and clicked the "check for updates" on the game startup and it took me to that download. I think they meant to say "only for 2.0 or later". Maybe it was lost in translation.
