[TC] SETA While doing something else?

I'm trying to run SETA on my ship while I read something on a word document, but every time i tried to switch windows the SETA restarts.... Is this possible? I already clicked the run in background so it runs, but really really slow (at regular speed).

Not with some kind of macro, since when you Alt-Tab to go to windows, you get an input, and any input disables SETA.

Ahah! i figured it out! although it wont work for pc's i don't think >.< but for macs there is a button on the top row of the keyboard where f3 is for me, it windows everything and you can select another program from there without affecting the game! FYI for anyone who is curious and has a mac, it's possible!

W7 64bit
Loaded TC in a window.
asked ship to fly to destination.
set and launched SETA at 600%
ALT/TAB out to another app.
Seta still runs in window.

Of course if something gets close to your ship or you go through a gate,then it returns to normal speed.

Hmhm it always does to me, maybe because I start with Alt, and that key is linked to the Video Enhancement Software.

Maybe you end up scanned? Alt tab does not break SETA for me.

Nope, can't be the reason since it happens anytime I Alt-tab the game.

I'm with the camp that says Alt+Tab works fine without de-activating SETA. My other, possibly unhelpful, suggestion is to use a laptop for 'other things'. Fine if you have one, probably not so helpful if you don't.

I do have one, the one I play XTC on

And since it absolutely doesn't bother me, I won't go to the tech forum

Anyway if I want to put the game on SETA while I do other things, I'll just SETA the game and go work outside so no pb there, and since I did everything I could in my last game with 1/2 of game time on SETA mainly for the HUB, my next one will only be SETAed during actual play.

I figured out that logitech mouse owners can do a workaround by Logitech SetPoint application that ships with mouse. You can assign task switch action to any of your mouse buttons and SETA won't be interrupted while you switching active application. It's cheaper than buy Mac
