Just checking to see if the Boron have been given their own M8 as of yet...

Our favotite russian site still has the Gladiator model filling in. Just curious. =)

The Borons have the Marlin, only one of it i found is the Marlin hauler, not sure why the hauler is there but that's the name of they're M8 bomber, Here are the stats.

The marlin is the Royal Boron Navy's first foray into the tactical strike arena. The marlin is able to approach with speed and deliver considerable payloads on heavily defended targets.

Short is no they don't. Long is they have, only in the files.

Really? then why did i find 4 of them in Queen's Space?

I got bored and started to explore and went into the system, as i was flying to the gate to head too Rolk's Drift i saw 4 of them docking into a Shark.

The only ship/M1 that can hold bombers (M8 ) is the Aran. So you're either playing a modified game or you've been smoking Space Weed.

Really? hmm odd, i have my lap top with X3:TC installed and play a none modded game on it, made a cheat game RQ and spawned a shark and a marlin, the marlin was able to dock with the shark, no mods are installed on that system.

Then there's your answer, in case you were wondering why the Marlin isn't available in vanilla games.

I think the Marlin was available in early versions of TC, piloted by pirates in defend station missions. Think they got removed when they dropped the M8s in those missions in later version. They have added those M8s back again in the latest version, but the Marlin is not one of them.

I can still go to queen's space and there is a shark there, i haven't seen the bombers yet but I'll keep a eye out for them, I'm pretty sure they are there just on rare occasions.

P.S how ever i have seen pirate ones of this ship class, at max 3 total i have seen in a none modded game, they where few and far apart.

The Marlin is not available in a vanilla game unless the game was carried over from a much earlier game version. If that is the case and you are now running 3.0 then those Marlins are just left overs. Once they die they are gone for good. Also I am not sure you would want one of those even if you could get it to bail. The game is already buggy and that could just break your game while you have one in your possession.

If I remember correctly the Marlin has pretty much the same specs as the Argon Gladiator so you may as go with that one.

There is some kind of logic, as Yakis are pirates, and the Suri could very well be at the start a stolen Colossus REd then midified to Yaki specs.

seeing as how everything pirate has been....well...pirated.....im not exactly sure why this comes across as a "lack of inspiration".

They're identical in every regard... Plus, why make the Akuma and Hoshi so different from Argon ship models and leave the Shuri only a renamed Colossus?

cause the akuma and hoshi are ships the yaki designed and constructed themselves.

The Shuri and Colossus have different turret layout I think, unless it was changed, can't remember.

My entire TL Fleet is now almost entirely the Pirate Yaki Ryu.
In fact I will be buying another two tonight. My last Elephant is a weapons store, and after that I will make it a Sector Patrol with 14 fighters attached, with a set of M6 escorts. I have a Teladi ship but will park that in Terran space to gather weapons, and use two Terran Mining ships as ammunition and missiles stores, worth a few hundred million.
